The Lost Sheep
Once upon a time, in a beautiful meadow, there lived a gentle shepherd named David. He had a big flock of one hundred sheep, and he loved each one like a dear friend. David knew every sheep by its name, and he watched over them day and night.
One sunny day, while the sheep were happily munching on the green grass, David noticed that one of them was missing. He counted his sheep and saw that one little lamb was not with the rest. David knew he had to find the lost sheep.
He set out on a journey, searching high and low, through thick bushes and deep valleys, calling out, “Little Lamb, where are you?” David cared so much about the lost sheep, and he didn’t want it to be scared and alone.
After a long and tiring search, David finally found the lost sheep. It had wandered away and got stuck in a thorny bush. The little sheep was frightened and couldn’t find its way back to the flock.
David carefully freed the little lamb from the thorns, cradled it in his arms, and carried it back to the flock. When they saw their lost friend, the other sheep welcomed it with joy and relief.
David was so happy too. He realized how important it is to look after each of his sheep, no matter how many there are. He knew that God is like a caring shepherd, always watching over His “flock” of people and taking care of each one individually.
